Blog images, favicon, new discord channels and Partners
This time a part of the update won't be directly visible by the users but brings new features that helps admins to be more productive. Apart from the code update there are things made for the community to talk about.
Up to now it has not been possible to upload images via the website so it was difficult to add an image to a blog post! Now it's that easy... I added an upload input to the article writing page which manages all uploads and returns the html code to add to the article (articles are written in ".md" markdown).
I don't know why but I've never uploaded the favicon. Since this update a tiny little favicon is shining on top of your web browser! I finally solved a warning related to the Ubuntu font I am using so now everyone should be able to surf the website with the correct font. Finally I've added few css rules here and there just to improve the user experience
I updated the discord bot !help
command and now all the commands are returned as supposed in the bot reply.
The discord server has now new community dedicated channels and the π¬CHAT list is now composed by the channels:
After some time working on the FSS project I decided it was time to share it more consistently. I started with friends before sharing it in figure skating related Facebook groups, Twitter and LinkedIn.
When I came to Reddit I realized there's a cool Discord server yet linked to the r/FigureSkating subreddit so I joined the community and met new peoples.
Talking with the staff we decided to help each other sharing the links of our communities.
I think this can improve both the projects and that's why a "Partners Communities" button appeared in the right side of the website's Home page. Through that button, you can reach a page dedicated to Partners that probably will increase time to time. So if you've time, check out the subreddit and their discord server. For sure it'll be a pleasure for them!
Be awesome as always Cheers π
