🎄Am I back?

After so long here I am with a new update

Since 2022 the last update was released on 19 December 2021, I’ve been extremely busy with other aspects of my life; family, university, sports, and work.

I’m very proud of the progress I’ve made in my life, but a day still has only 24 hours, and I had to make some tough choices about what to prioritize. For this reason, I decided to stop updating FSS for a long time. The Discord server and the Telegram channel were not growing enough to justify the effort, so I eventually discontinued them. However, I continued to keep the website server up to date for security reasons.

In the past few days, I finally found the time to review the codebase and update it to work with the new component structure (from five columns to three). The project can now once again import data from ISU Championships, ISU Grand Prix, ISU Junior Grand Prix, and ISU Challenger Series, as long as the competition page is generated using the “ISUCalc” system.

The “Comnet” system was never supported and still isn’t, as the vast majority of competition pages are generated with “ISUCalc”.

In the past, I also added support for importing data from the “Lite” version of “ISUCalc”, which makes it possible to include national and local competitions. At the moment, however, I’ve decided not to focus on those events, so that part of the code still needs to be updated.

That said, I was finally able to import many competitions from the 2022-2023 season up to today. The database now contains 253 competitions, 3,702 athletes, and 33,139 programs.

From now on, my goal for FSS is to keep the website regularly updated by importing all upcoming major competitions generated with ISUCalc, ensuring the project continues to grow in a stable and sustainable way.

Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday season! 🎄✨
